Easy Puff Pastry Asparagus Tart

This Asparagus Tart with Puff Pastry is a buttery and flaky dish featuring fresh asparagus and creamy Gruyère cheese. It’s easy to make, elegant, and perfect for spring entertaining!

Let’s get started!

With just a few simple ingredients and easy steps, this asparagus tart comes together beautifully. Serve it as an appetizer, light meal, or brunch dish—it’s a perfect way to showcase fresh asparagus at its peak.

PREHEAT

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Rinse the asparagus under cold water, then snap off or trim the woody ends. Pat dry and set aside.

ROLL PASTRY

2. Lightly flour a clean work surface, then unfold the puff pastry sheet and roll it into a 14×10-inch rectangle.

SCORE & BAKE

3. Transfer the rolled-out pastry to the prepared baking sheet and score a 1-inch border around the edges with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut all the way through. Use a fork to dock the center of the pastry every ½ inch to prevent puffing. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
