Mother’s Day Gift Guide: The Baker
Do you remember last year’s Mother’s Day giveaway? You might not, because many of you weren’t around back then. What better opportunity show my appreciation for my readers, old and new, and all the other bloggers out there who inspire me daily than with 8 days of amazing food and kitchen giveaways!
Each day a new gift guide and new set of prizes for Mother’s Day will publish with a specific type of mom in mind (The Baker, The Coffee Lover, The Health Conscious Mom, The Sweet Tooth Mom, The Eco Mom, The Edible Gardener, The Wine Enthusiast, and The Aspiring Chef). Use the prize as a gift for mom or keep it for yourself – I won’t tell! I know many of you out there are moms yourself, so don’t feel guilty if you decide you’d like to keep your winnings for your own enjoyment.
For most of us, memories of Mom wouldn’t be complete without a memory of baking with her on a Sunday afternoon. So today, I offer for your inspiration and enjoyment a Mother’s Day Gift Guide for The Baker. Not all of the featured gift items are in the giveaway, so be sure to check at the end for what the prizes are.
Blurb Books Blurb was one of my early inspirations in blogging. I thought, I should just start a blog to record my favorite recipes and then I can have the blog turned into a real book. Well, I haven’t made my book yet even though I have a blog full of recipes and a brand new career! This would make a wonderful gift for any mom who wants to record her favorite baking recipes, old and new, in a real book.
Culinary Lavender and Lavender Honey from Keys Creek Lavender Farm would taste delicious in mom’s home baked goods. Don’t you think these Honey Lavender Madeleines look like the perfect Mother’s Day treat?
Pair those Honey Lavender Madeleines with a cup of tea from Poor Me Tea. The Mothering Blend would be perfect for a Mother’s Day gift! It includes comforting blend of ginger and delightful mums. Because no role is more meaningful. At any moment you strive to do it all. You teach. You love. You nurture.
What mother wouldn’t want one of these beautiful Heirloom Aprons from IceMilk Aprons to wear as she bakes with her children, grandchildren, nieces, or nephews while passing down her traditions from generation to generation? Bundled with a set of blank recipe cards to preserve those recipes, it is surely a gift from the heart.
I know I’ve mentioned before that I don’t have a hand mixer and don’t feel like I really need one, but I sure wouldn’t complain if someone gifted me this Viking Professional Hand Mixer! Gorgeous design and heavy-duty performance – a perfect fit for someone who loves spending their days baking away.
Olive Oil Desserts: Delicious and Healthy Heart Smart Baking would be a great way to still enjoy the baked goodies you and your family love with the added health benefits of olive oil. Designed specifically for baking with olive oil, the recipes eliminate key ingredients—butter, hydrogenated oils, margarine, and shortening—that are staples in many traditional desserts.
