Homemade Yogurt
Yogurt has many purposes in this household of adoring fans, from an ingredient in baked goods, breakfast with granola and fruit, a popular addition to smoothies (related: Raspberry Orange Smoothies), to a healthy afternoon snack, and even using yogurt as a marinade for Tandoori Chicken – there isn’t a week that goes buy where I’m not adding another large container or two to our grocery cart.
I’m pleased to report that everyone else is absolutely right – yogurt is SUPER easy to make at home. Not that I doubted it, but it was great to give it a try myself and learn how simple the process is.
And it’s really nice because you can completely control the ingredients yourself. Organic, naturally sweetened, pure, delicious yogurt. Madeline is particularly partial to a generous drizzle of honey and fresh strawberries on a bowl of yogurt for her breakfast.
But you aren’t just controlling the ingredients. You have the ability to control the consistency of your yogurt. Personally, I like it on the thicker side and now I know just how to make it that way at home every time.
This Cuisipro Donvier® Electronic Yogurt Machine will make homemade yogurt such a breeze to make. All you need to do is heat the milk, add the yogurt culture, divide the mixture between the BPA-free plastic jars. Then you add the jars to the machine, set your timer (10 1/2 hours was perfect for me), place the lid on and plug it in. The machine does all the work for you.

We also eat a lot of yogurt. I would like to try making it because I feel guilty accumulating all of the plastic containers. I’ll try any machine that will make my life easier.

I love eating yogurt and love to put it in my smoothies, but buying it every week can get expensive. I’m most excited to see how easy it is and to have to potential to make my son whatever flavor yogurt he wants.

I love food “projects” and I’ve been wanting to make yogurt for ages. We eat a lot of yogurt here and I think it would save us a lot of $ and give us more control over what goes into the yogurt which is good since we have food allergies to deal with.

We love yogurt and try to make as much from scratch in our house as possible. There is just something so nice about knowing what is going into your body.

My mom would always make us homemade yogurt when I was young. We loved it and would put fruit or jam in it. I would love to make homemade yogurt for my kids so I can control the sugar. I would want to make plain yogurt so I could just add fresh fruit or homemade jam to it.

I’d LOVE to use this yogurt maker. I think the yogurt would be much healthier, with the simpler, wholesome ingredients, and I think it would be yummier and cheaper, too!

I remember my Mom making yogurt for me and my sisters all the time. We loved it and would add fruit or jam to it. I would love to make it now for my kids and use my homemade jam to put in plain yogurt. I hate how much sugar is in store bought yogurt and would like to be able to make my own.

I would love to win this Donvier yogurt maker because while I have made my own yogurt many, many times I can see that this machine would make the process easier and more consistent! Would love to get better results!
