Creating this Fresh Strawberry Lemonade
I am so in love with our Breville Juice Fountain and so are the kids.
Last week we made tangelo juice to go with our breakfast for dinner and last night we made this delicious Fresh Strawberry Lemonade. It was the perfect drink for our beautiful spring evening last night.
I’ve never used an electronic juicer before, but I can tell you I am incredibly pleased with the Breville Juice Fountain Plus. I always imagined juicing to be something difficult and messy, but it was neither. I can see that we will be experimenting more often with juice concoctions, especially with warmer weather approaching.
The whole family loves fresh lemonade and this juicer made the process so fast and simple. I’m hoping to have a bunch of lemons this coming summer because I have been growing a dwarf lemon tree

- It makes a great special occasion beverage during for spring and summer celebrations: Mother’s Day brunches, bridal showers, baby showers, or even backyard barbecues and porch sitting.

How to Make Strawberry Lemonade
There are two different ways to make strawberry lemonade – with an electric juicer or with a blender. Read on to learn about the instructions for the 2 different methods.
How to Make Strawberry Lemonade with a Juicer
First, prepare and cool the simple syrup. Then, wash the strawberries and remove the stems. After that, peel the lemons and the lime.
Juice the lemons and the limes using low speed on your juicer until you have the right amount of each. Then, repeat the juicing process with the strawberries.
Combine the lemon juice, lime juice, and strawberry juice with the rest of the ingredients (tasting for sweetness as you go). Stir to combine.
How to Make Strawberry Lemonade with a Blender
First, prepare the simple syrup and cool it completely.
To make the strawberry juice, blend the strawberries with a small amount of water until pureed. Then, strain the seeds from the strawberry puree using a fine mesh strainer. Afterwards, discard the strawberry seeds.
Next, juice the lemons and the limes using a citrus juicer or citrus press. Tip: how to get the most juice from your lemons and limes.
Add the lemon juice and lime juice to the pitcher containing the strawberry juice. Add the water and simple syrup to the strawberry mixture (tasting for sweetness as you go). Stir to combine.

Tips for the Best Strawberry Lemonade
Is this your first time preparing homemade strawberry lemonade? Here are my pro tip to get the best results when preparing this summery drink.
- Adjust the amount of sugar in the simple syrup according to your preferences. Is 1 cup of sugar per cup of water too sweet for you? Try decreasing the amount of sugar in the simple syrup.
- Make sure the sugar dissolves completely when preparing the simple syrup.
- Use fresh ingredients for best results. You’ll get so much more flavor using fresh, ripe strawberries and juicy, fresh lemons.
- Don’t add ice directly to the pitcher, doing so will dilute the entire pitcher.
- The best way to serve this cold is to use cold water rather than room temperature water when preparing the recipe.
- If time allows, chill the fresh-squeezed lemonade in the refrigerator before serving. Then, add ice cubes to individual glasses just before serving.
How to Make it a Refreshing Summer Cocktail!
Strawberry Lemonade is one of my favorite drink recipes for summer because it is so easy to make a simple summer cocktail with. Here are a few ideas:
For a Vodka Lemonade: add 2 ounces of vodka for every 6 ounces of lemonade. Serve over ice.
For a Tequila Lemonade: add salt on the rim of the cup, then combine 2 ounces of tequila for every 6 ounces of lemonade. Serve over ice.
For a Lemonade Spritzer: Combine 4 ounces chilled dry white wine with 1 ounce lemonade and 2 ounces club soda. Serve over ice.

I would love the juicer and it’s on my wish list, but I think I’d also like to have the compact countertop oven. Our horrible 60’s kitchen is soon to be revamped and I’ll be without the big oven for a while. The smart oven would be perfect!
