Sweet and Sour Asian Meatballs
Originally this recipe for Sweet and Sour Asian Meatballs with Vegetables was served with stir fry veggies and rice to go along with the Asian Meatballs and Sweet and Sour Sauce, but the recipe also makes a great Asian appetizer!
Leave out the vegetables and rice, prepare the meatballs and the sauce as instructed, then keep the sauce and meatballs warm in a slow cooker for a fun Asian Meatball Appetizer.
Homemade meatballs can feel a little time-consuming to prepare, but they're well worth the flavor! Consider making a large batch so you can stash them away in the freezer.
To freeze these Asian Meatballs, cook according to directions, then cool completely. After cooling, place on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze till solid. After solid, transfer them to a freezer safe storage bag and eliminate as much air as possible. Use within 3 months.

Asian Salad Wonton Cup Appetizers
Recipes like these Asian Salad Wonton Cups satisfy my cravings for cool, crunchy recipes. They also make great party food when you're looking for an Asian appetizer!
This version doesn't contain meat, so it is a great vegetarian Asian appetizer recipe, but you can add cooked shrimp if you're looking to add meat. I recommend small sized shrimp, or cut larger shrimp in pieces so they fit well in the wonton cups.
To make these super simple to prepare, bake the wonton cups ahead of time - up to 3 days - and store them in an airtight container after they've completely cooled.
The Asian salad can be prepared up to a day ahead of time. Then, assemble just before serving!

Vietnamese Summer Rolls
These Vietnamese Summer Rolls with Almond Dipping Sauce are one of my favorite Asian appetizers! They feature lemongrass shrimp, lettuce, thai basil, mint, and thinly sliced carrots, cucumbers, and red bell peppers rolled up in rice papers.
These Vietnamese Summer Rolls are served with a spicy, chili garlic almond sauce for dipping. So yummy!
Make ahead options: wash and slice all of the veggies up to 2 days ahead of time. Marinate the shrimp the night before, but don't cook it until serving day.
This Asian inspired appetizer is one that is fun to prepare with guests so each person can roll their own summer roll. Don't want to do that? Assemble the rolls yourself up to 4 hours ahead of time and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
I love that you can customize this Asian appetizer with different meats - chicken or pork would also work well with the lemongrass marinade.
