Wondering what you should make for your 4th of July BBQ? I’ve got tons of ideas for you here.
The girls and I just finished up our grocery shopping for our 4th of July Menu, so I have all of these great summer BBQ recipes fresh in my mind. I thought that I should share a roundup of some of our most popular recipes to make for a 4th of July BBQ to help you with your brainstorming.
We have a few of the items on this list on our menu this year, but really we’re fans of everything listed here. This year I let the girls plan out the menu because I was busy with some other things, and because Kendall’s boyfriend is coming for dinner. Here’s what they chose:
Our 4th of July Menu
- Grilled Brats (probably because we’ve recently had burgers, pulled pork, and ribs!)
- Grandma Cookie’s Potato Salad
- BLT Green Salad
- Watermelon
- Cherry Limeade Slushies
- Strawberry Fool with Lemon Blueberry Sauce Added for Red, White, and Blue!
We’ll be celebrating on July 3 since our town does their big firework show for the holiday at the golf course a day early, so we will be in full on prep mode later today. Fun fact – 3 years ago Kevin proposed at the firework show, so its always fun to go back each year and see the show.
Hope you all enjoy your celebrations! Don’t forget the Bug Spray and Sunscreen if you’ll be outside!
