Creamy Dairy-Free Berry Banana Pops with Vanilla Silk
We understand how hard it is for kids to constantly feel like they can’t eat something because of an allergy – they feel different, sad, excluded, and forgotten when no one plans an alternative snack or treat for them during a party.
Because we’ve experienced this ourselves, we are extra sensitive to the allergies of others and would never want to put someone in this same position while in our home. One of Logan’s best friends not only has a peanut allergy, but also a dairy allergy.

I cannot even fathom being allergic to dairy. It isn’t just cheese, yogurt, and milk that are off limits. Butter, too, is included in that allergy, something a lot of people forget about. Homemade ice cream or creamy popsicles aren’t an option. And how sad during summer when some days a bowl of ice cream would squash the hot temperatures.
With summer already almost halfway over, my thoughts turn to back to school time. I’ve been wanting to have a backyard ice cream and creamy popsicle party with all of our friends to celebrate the end of summer. One last hurrah before school starts. But how is that possible when you throw a dairy allergy into the mix?
I love that there are alternative products like Vanilla Soymilk from Silk that are easily substituted in the place of milk. Silk allows me feel confident, safe, thoughtful, and inclusive in social situations with kids rather than worrying about hurting feelings and leaving someone out because of allergies.
Thanks to the creamy, smooth taste of Silk’s Vanilla Soymilk, the dairy-free versions of our favorite homemade ice cream and creamy fruit popsicle recipes taste just as good.
