Pineapple Orange Smoothie
This quick and healthy Pineapple Orange Smoothie is made with frozen fruit, coconut milk, and a secret ingredient that really amps up the orange flavor.
Creating This Pineapple Orange Smoothie Recipe
Yesterday was a hot one. Burned out on packing (I leave for Phoenix today), tired, and generally not having a lot of motivation to get anything done, I decided I needed a little pick-me-up.
And it had to be something that would cool me off. I tossed some stuff in the blender and made a pineapple smoothie without banana (because I don’t like bananas, fun fact!).
Have a great weekend and I’ll catch you again Monday morning!
Pineapple Orange Smoothie Ingredients
I nicknamed this frozen pineapple coconut smoothie an “Aloha Smoothie” because it tastes like a tropical vacation in your mouth. Here’s all you’ll need to make it:
- Chia seeds
- Greek yogurt
- Coconut milk
- Pineapple juice
- Frozen pineapple
- Kiwi
- Fresh Orange
- Orange Zest
- Ice

How to Make a Pineapple Orange Smoothie
I bet you know how this smoothie gets made — just toss everything into a blender and blend until smooth.
For a thicker pineapple orange smoothie, add more frozen pineapple or ice. For a thinner smoothie, add less ice and / or more coconut milk.
The above is simply a quick summary of this recipe. Check out the full recipe in the free printable recipe card at the bottom of this post for all the detailed instructions.
Can I Add Other Fruits?
Of course! I loved the pure pineapple-orange flavor of this smoothie, but you’re welcome to use any tropical fruits you have on hand.
What Type of Coconut Milk Should I Use?
I prefer using coconut milk in a carton for making smoothies. Canned coconut milk would also work, it’d just be much creamier and have a stronger coconut flavor.
Tips for Making a Pineapple Orange Smoothie
- I made this frozen pineapple smoothie without banana, but you may add a fresh or frozen banana to the blender if desired.
- I recommend enjoying the pineapple coconut smoothie right away, but leftovers can be frozen and enjoyed at a later date.
- Adding the orange zest really intensifies the orange flavor!
